unlted航线综合终点站(unlted airlines terminal one complex) 所 在 地:美国
The Terminal One Complex for United Airlines at Chicago‘s O‘Hare International Airport provides 48 gates, 12 commuter parking positions and 1,400,000 square feet of operating facilities. The two primary components of the project, Concourses B and C, form two linear structures with a length of 1,600 feet. A gap of 815 feet between them allows for dual taxiing of wide-bodied aircraft. Concourse C contains 30 gates, and the remaining 18 are in Concourse B. A commuter airline operation is housed in a related wing adjacent to Concourse B. The planning of the complex is based on the concept of parallel concourses, a departure from the Y-shaped concourses prevalent at O‘Hare. The parallel configuration eliminates the "dead-ends" created in the Y-shaped form. This reduces aircraft waiting time on the apron, allows two-way taxiing which expedites aircraft movement to the gates, and makes the total perimeter of Concourse C available for aircraft parking.
